Batteries

Are you aware of what your car battery does? It is a vital part of your vehicle's electronic system. When not up to par, it can trigger expensive repairs.
The battery is like a bank: it lends to all electrical components, power windows, power seats, air conditioning, radio, etc. And who pays the battery back for all its effort? The alternator does!
Numerous times we have seen receipts for electronic parts replacement due to faulty batteries. Sure, when a car is stone cold dead and the battery's power is below 9.6 volts, you're looking at a case of low charge. But a battery that is not evaluated cell by cell can lead to costly electronic errors.
Twelve-volt batteries have six cells. When even five cells are working well but one is weak or dead, you can experience erratic A/C performance, poor engine performance and the appearance of the dreaded check engine light or even ABS light.
Have you been busy? This may have caused you to jump start your battery. When you have a weak battery, you put strain on your alternator and starter. So, if you do not want to invest in a new electrical system, DO NOT JUMP START YOUR CAR! We cannot tell you how many cars have been in our repair shop that have needed new computers after jump starting.
We have all major brand batteries, including Interstate, Bosch, ACDelco and World Source One. Come visit us and take proper care of your car as well as saving money and time!
